DEAREST FAITHFUL LADIES:
Thank you for your interest in “JEWELRY SHOP FOR MOM” or ‘THE MOTHER’S DAY JEWELRY PROJECT”.  Per my announcement and the introduction by founder, Wendy Pangburn, we are very excited for the GWBS to adopt this wonderful program, which helps inner city children fulfill their dreams to give “MOM” something special for Mother’s day.

The last several years, Yardley Appleby, my college friend, lead the project at The Powell Elementary School the Friday before Mother’s Day and she needs to pass on the torch. Members from our Bible study have generously donated jewelry and volunteered and now it is time for us to run the project and give back to our community.

Our group is a natural for this very special mission. WE ARE:  MOMS, Aunts, Sisters, Grand Moms, Daughters, God Moms, etc…so this is a natural way for us to join together, give back, and have FUN seeing these kids smile! . All it involves is time and a generous spirit, which every one of you has in YOU!
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

• TO LEAD the “Jewelry Shop for Mom” Committee-We need a leader to come forward to run the project each year and be responsible for assembling a committee and team of volunteers.
• TO DONATE OR COLLECT “Gently used jewelry” Either go through your drawers and donate your own jewelry or collect it from your friends. Please bring jewelry to Bible Study – dates to bring them TBD (we do not accept rings or watches )

TO VOLUNTEER for (3) important dates as a worker bee: to work organizing the jewelry and working the shop
